Deanston Virgin Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky ABV 46.3% 700ml

Situated on the banks of the river Teith. Near the town of Doune, 8 miles outside Stirling, historical heart of Scotland. Deanston was established in 1785 as a cotton mill, with the original mill buildings giving a unique home to our distillery. Facts: Unique maturation halls: they used to be the old weaving shed.

Converted to a distillery in 1966. Self-sufficient in electricity due to Deanston's hydro-electric plant. Traditional distilling methods – no computerisation. Only locally-grown Scottish barley and yeast used to make our whisky.

Crafted by hand, this Deanston is first matured in ex-bourbon casks then finished in brand new (Virgin) casks shipped directly to Scotland from a family run cooperage in Kentucky, creating its subtle but zesty character, the golden spirit is then finished in virgin oak casks, adding subtle spicy aromas.
