DESCRIPTION
This is the second of Hombo's Shinshu 2015 releases, matured in the company’s maturation halls on the small island of Yakushima. Located off the south of mainland Japan, the island provides a warmer ageing environment. Bottled in 2019, the flavours and aromas include peat, coffee and chocolate brownies with a mouthfeel that's softly bitter, long and warming. Three years maturation in sherry barrels has also bestowed a fabulous colour. Natural strength, so expect a hefty malt. 58% Alc./Vol.
